About Myself

I am Parvathy Baruwal Chhetri Uprety. I come from the tourist town of Pokhara in Nepal. My husband is Durga Prasad Uprety who is also from Nepal. We have two sons, Abishek who is nine years old and Anurag who is four years old. My husband has accompanied me to Australia while our kids are with their grandmother. Both attend school. Abishek studies in class four and Anurag studies in Nursery.
Prior to coming to Australia I was a school teacher at Gandaki Higher SecondaryBoarding School in Pokhara. I taught in classes ranging from Four to Ten. I taught subjects like Accounts, English, Social Studies and Moral science. I taught there for twelve years and had a wonderful time with the students. I have a Bachelors Degree in Commerce from Bharathiyar University, India. I graduated in Commerce in 1993. During my tenure at Gandaki Higher Secondary Boarding School I have had the opportunity to work with expatriates from Australia. This has been one of the reasons why I have chosen to do Masters Degree in Teaching from Australia. I have come here to become a better teacher with the knowledge that I would be able to gain from my Masters Degree and thereby impart the gained knowledge to the students and help them to live meaningfully in different walks of their life in the days to come.
